Up 'anley Duck

We're quite excited, as on Sunday we're heading north for a few days to visit our folks...
Not only will it be great to see everyone, but it's just nice to get away & staying in a hotel always feels like a holiday to us!

Hugo's coming with us again, which is lovely & although we have things to sort for Bebe - we'll also be taking her out for a day to meet up with relatives in the Derbyshire town of Bakewell. A town renowned for it's puddings & it's Pride & Prejudice connection!

We've had a busy couple of days & tomorrow will be yet another one, so tonight we're going to chill out, eat chocolate & watch Fantastic Mr Fox & try to have an early night...

    Have a safe trip and a well earned break.
    I went to Bakewell years ago, on a coach trip and the driver warned us the speciality was not to be called a tart, but a pudding :-D

Some of you know about my fight with Graves Disease, an auto immune system disorder, which causes an overactive thyroid. Since I was diagnosed 7 years ago, I have made it my business to know everything I possibly could about the condition & this has probably saved my life. Our garden yesterday. Tall Nettles TALL nettles cover up, as they have done These many springs, the rusty harrow, the plough Long worn out, and the roller made of stone: Only the elm butt tops the nettles now. Getting Back To basics

We've had another very busy week, but we are very happy to be escaping for a few days. We decided that as it's our Silver Wedding Anniversary on Monday, we should do something a bit different... So we're going to be staying in a yurt on Bodmin Moor! It's going to be wonderful... No computer. No phone. No work.
